Patient Forum: Sleep Well, Live Better

On World Sleep Day (March 8, 2026), a Patient Forum titled “Sleep Well, Live Better” was held at the India International Centre, New Delhi, highlighting the link between sleep, memory, and weight management. Dr. Manvir Bhatia explained the role of sleep, especially REM sleep, in brain function and memory, and how poor sleep affects hormones that regulate appetite and weight. Dr. Natasha Khullar discussed memory changes with aging and ways to relax the mind. Dr. Dhiraj Bhatia spoke about the connection between sleep disorders, weight gain, and metabolic health, while Dt. Tarmeen (VLCC) highlighted the role of healthy nutrition in managing obesity and metabolic health. The forum also included a dance activity by Ms. Aditi to promote physical activity and better sleep. Key Message: Quality sleep is essential for better memory, healthy weight, and overall well-being.
